LoreDrop privacy and study-data flow
Where audio, transcripts, generated notes and website measurements are processed.
Capture modes
Local speech processes audio on your device. Optional OpenAI transcription sends audio segments to OpenAI. Browser dictation may use the browser provider’s online speech service.
Private saved files
Audio is uploaded to the account database only when you enable source saving. PDF import uploads the original selected PDF. You can delete saved files from their receipt cards; text backups do not include these blobs.
AI teaching and web lookup
Notes, tutoring and library questions send relevant source text to OpenAI. Explicit person research sends only the entered name and subject to live web search, not your private lessons.
Study material
Generating notes sends source text to the AI provider. Saved notes and transcripts belong to your account workflow; they are not included in acquisition reports.
Website measurement
LoreDrop records the landing page and broad referral source, plus signup and successful note-generation events. A 90-day browser cookie links visits. Signed-in study activity uses a pseudonymous account identifier to measure returning learners. Reports contain aggregate counts, not your transcript, account name, or IP address.
Interpretation
Browser visits are not unique people. Referral labels can be missing or imprecise. Small research cohorts are suppressed, and counts do not prove improved grades or learning.
